The compact design of this tool has been likened to jewellery rather than a tool. This design has been known to be very popular with the ladies, despite this design being known as a "gentleman’s folder" The style, quality and workmanship seem to appeal to their sense of style and good taste.
Based on the Paul® Presto, this knife has a good pedigree. This version incorporates Doug Ritters drop point blade design, special materials and super special finishes. The blade is made from Crucibles Incredible CPM S30V, combine this with the drop point, recurve blade and you have one of the most practical and beautiful designs available. The blade is finished in perfect stonewashed finish. It is the perfect combination with the Paul® Presto 420 stainless frame.
The handle overlays are custom laid silver tweed G-10 aerospace composite. The G-10 is then CNC machined to reveal the beautiful weave with a satin finish, another first and stunning design for a Paul® Knife.
The handle and blade are in perfect form and balance providing a knife of grace and style. Utility and functionality being the key requirement for any knife, the combination of collaboration in design and form, sets this knife apart from others.
The patented axial lock that Paul designed is as solid as a bank vault. This lock, locks the blade closed as well as open. One hand opening and closing is simple and intuitive and takes only a little practice to master. Hold the knife with the blade up, squeeze the lock to release and a quick flick drops the handle away from the blade. It can be closed one-handed by reversing this process.
For a less dramatic opening when circumstances dictate, simply release the lock and rotate the blade open until it locks in place. The Axial Lock also keeps your fingers out of the way on closing, making it safer than a lock back or liner/frame lock.
This knife is pre owned and has some minor blade marks. This knife has seen light use.
