This is bowie knife was originally made by Gil Hibben for the 1952 film, "The Iron Mistress" starring Alan Ladd and Virginia Mayo. Mr Hibben is still reproducing this knife today but in very low numbers and all of these knives are hand made. The blade is 26.5cm long, 5cm wide, 6mm thick, made from 440C high carbon stainless steel and is topped with a brass blade catcher all the way down the back of the blade. The handle is made from beautiful African Blackwood which is brought to life by the Alternative Ivory plate, brass collar, butt cap and mosaic pins. This knife comes complete with a handmade black leather belt sheath, zipped storage case and certificate of authenticity.
